Practically the whole country is obessed with buying a hope, hope to 发财 some gambling, like 4D,toto, big sweep. It seems to be like a national sport, though maybe heartlanders uncles and aunties seem to be more of a avid fan of this sport. Almost everyone I know has the habit or buy the ocassional ticket hoping to strike rich, hoping of a better life, able to give their children something more, to get out of the proverty trap.

Some go to extreme ways, doing research, trying to find patterns between the numbers that came out every week. For the record, my mum has a exercise book with the weekly lottery numbers inside with scribbling across all the pages, trying out new permutations and combinations that will possibly let her strike the top prize. Haha.

Why do they keep throwing at the Singapore Pools even though they know how hard it is to strike the first prize or just any prize? Why?

I think it is the dream to strike rich, the dream to lead a better life, without worrying about the daily expenses every night or ever increasing living costs. (though gahmen stats always shows otherwise)

Dreams are powerful isnt it? It drives people forward to achieve their dreams. Without dreams, wont life will be plain and dull?

Maybe I will try buying for the next weekend.

Investment is very important, you never know when your that lucky set of numbers will come out first prize, right?
