Examinations Meritocracy

I saw a very thought provoking forum letter in the straits times today.

It really makes me think why though there is so many elites entering all the elite foreign university and the top 1% of the cohort who enters the GEP never really become 'truly top-ranked scientists, entrepreneurs, inventors, business executives or academics'.

Maybe its time to take relook at the system.
