Festive season is here already?

Its still 5 weeks away from christmas, but from what I saw from the net, the christmas decorations in Orchard Road have already been put up. In 2004, in the weeks leading to christmas, some of the 3As guys (zc, low, johnny, john, quek, lim, jj, did i miss anyone else?) and me went to this christmas carnival at the empty land beside orchard mrt station, organised by the MAD organisation to volunteer ourselves for community service. (Actually it was more due to us wanting to clock community service hours for our cca pts)

We had "fun" asking for donations and giving out balloon like some "balloon uncle". We met all sorts of weird and funny people and had alot of funny incidents. We even manage to catch some glimpse of pretty girls walking by while "hard at work". It is hard not to get into the festive season mood when wherever you go, you see couples, families, friends hanging around town, with smiles on their faces. It is as if you can smell the festive season in the air, it is even more evident at night, when the streets are lighted up and all the malls' decocrations start illumating against the dark backdrop of the night sky.

I probably wont get to see much of this this year, you do not have much freedom when you are serving the nation. Its so tough to call people to come out nowadays.

I wonder how my christmas will be like this year.

Fun? Boring? Shrugs.

P.S Happy Birthday to low which falls on 22 Nov, having to spend his birthday in brueni is tough.
