I sick of hearing people telling that doing this or that will be your own good.

To get a job is for your own good, to gain the so called "valuable" experience and not to waste your time away. To LEARN something, it's good for you.

Wtf?

To learn some skills, like driving, its for your own good because it will be useful in your future work life.

Why is everything done just because it will benefit you in the future? Why do they keep harping on it?

Why is it not done out of pure interest or the pure willingness to learn something?

Is life all about preparing yourself to win? You must learn everything and anything to win? Its for your own good?

Yes, I admit life is about making a living, able to survive in the society. But must you go to such extent? So kiasu? To always harp on doing the things that will benefit you in the workplace?

You must know and try everything because you will then be slightly advantged in the workplace?

Im sick of this world.
