The workplace is a very strange place. A place with a mix of people of varying character, personality and attitude. Sometimes you just get digusted at the things people do in the workplace. Fellow colleagues backtstabbing each other, senior workers bullying the new comers, people competing to lick the boss's balls dry.

Do you really have to put on a mask and act all friendly on the surface with everyone else and more importantly the boss to get a good appraisal?

What if you just go about doing your own job quietly, will you be rated equally with one that is of same capabilities but is more eloquent and gets all friendly with everyone?

So its important to try to get into everyone's good books to survive in the workplace?

It sounds so wrong.
