Earth in trouble
Every few other days for the recent few years, it seems that you will always find a few reports appearing in the newspapers that announce that the environment is in a dire state.
From overfishing, air pollution, water pollution, floods due to climate change and impending danger of the North/South Pole melting and animals facing extinction as a result.
I think we probably discover all these problems too late and the various governments/organizations are not coming together to coordinate their actions and to think of solutions to stop or slow down the process. For me, to do something as big as saving the environment, it certainly needs to involve the governments and they need to take the lead. Especially those big heavy-industrialized countries like US and China and the EU. But it seems the governments are just not doing enough,
And do you all still remember the "bring your own bag" day on the first Wednesday of the month? It seems nobody cares after sometime and the assistant also do not bother. Though it is a good move to encourgae people to bring their own bags and cut down waste but why not use the resources to do something more impactful. For example, cutting down on carbon emissions, coming up of ways on how to make harmful by-products from manufacturing less harmful to the environment or investing in alternative renewable energy.
Maybe it's all too late now. We all are in deep shit.
