whats life like in an elite unit?

I just went for a mini secondary class gathering yesterday, it was a bbq at someone's condo. The turn out was not bad, at least half the class were there. But some members of my goof gang werent present. Apparently they seem to be held up by some NS thingy or too shag out from training. (One of them is in the elite unit)

I wonder hows life in an elite unit. I wonder if one will become psychotic after some time inside. The training everyday pushes you to you limit, you are stressed mentally and physically, your morale is so low, the worse part is, you never even volunteered for it. Come weekends, you are so shag that you probably will reject all the attempts to ask you out to play. Friends jio you out and you dont even have the mood, energy to come out and fun. All you want is to rest and have more sleep. Theres nothing in life beside training and having ample rest. No doubt, you feel a sense of acheievement, honour, pride overwhelming your emotions when you finish it. But thats the end product. How about the process? Can you hang on and go through everything and do it to your best capability? Will you start questioning yourself why are you doing all these things?

Its all depends on the mind it seems.
Nonethenless, I will probably never understand the kind of shit they went through.

And erm, can we have more 3a outings?
Its kinda bored at home.
